Ongoing competition for increased market share in the global mobile phone market isn’t going to slow down in 2019. Although Apple traditionally unveils its latest series of models in autumn, the other big names in the business actually release their new devices throughout the year. For instance, Samsung, LG and Huawei are all scheduled to release 2019 models in both the first and second halves of 2019.

Proving that other developers have no fear of competing with the iPhone, here are some of the models and features you might end up putting to corporate use during spring.

iPhone XR

With far and away the best battery life of any iPhone to date, the XR is possibly the best model for business that Apple has released. Although it has a smaller amount of RAM than the more expensive XS and XS Max, the eager businessperson most likely won’t be using multiple complex, memory-consuming apps, such as games, while on the go.

Perfectly capable of running emails, social networks, invoice, payment and other business essentials simultaneously, Apple’s last release of 2018 will be popular throughout the next year.

Huawei P30 series

Despite US government officials having banned them in the States, the mobile phones of Chinese brand Huawei are becoming ever more popular elsewhere in the world. Adding facial recognition and fingerprint security to the feature portfolio in 2018, Huawei has emerged as a serious competitor in the smartphone space in the last 12 months.

With one of the most user-friendly interfaces on the market, Huawei phones are also great for business, as they boast a market-busting 70% charge within 30 minutes of connection to a power source.

Samsung Galaxy S10 series

Different people do business in different ways, and Samsung cater for this by releasing devices of different sizes and capabilities. The S10 series is expected, as per previous generations, to be available in 3 different sizes, with the memory, battery life and in-built cameras of each device slightly scaled to suit the needs of the buyer.

Along with the more flexible Android operating system, this is one of the reasons why, worldwide, Samsung continues to be the market leader in mobile devices.

Nokia 9

Once the darling of the mobile world, Nokia has been seriously catching up with the competition in recent years. The Nokia 9 will be the most advanced mobile phone that the brand has ever released, with an astonishing 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Businesspeople with a Nokia 9 and a business-only mobile network, offered by companies like Gamma, won’t just have the tools to conduct business – they’ll have the power to run it right in the palm of their hand.

LG G8 ThinQ

An outsider is the new LG, which will be released between February and April. While the functionality of LG devices has not been in question over the last few generations, the battery life has often left much to be desired.

However, the developers are understood to have taken this concern on board, and decided to release a mobile in 2019 that will compete with other devices on the market. With the G8 ThinQ expected (as its name suggests) to be an ultra-lightweight design, it could prove to be one of the most comfortable mobile models to carry in 2019.
